5 House Projects to Hire Out

Y’all I don’t know about you but after working all week, the weekends are usually reserved for errands to run, projects to complete, and social events to attend. Do you ever get through a weekend and wonder why they fly by so quickly? A lot of the time, I feel like I did not have a minute to relax! This is precisely why hiring projects out can save you time. Plus, there are just some things that you should leave to the professionals! Here are 5 house projects to hire out:

Furniture moving

The best way to make a room feel ‘new’ again? Rearrange your furniture, or add in new furniture! That is a hard task to do on your own, however, especially if the furniture is very heavy. With that being said, I know of a TX-based company that can help you with that task. Our Truck Moving provides services like residential moving, furniture delivery service, packing services, piano moving, and so much more. They are fully licensed and insured, so you can rest easy knowing that your items are taken care of while relieving stress off of your plate. They say, “If you have a big move ahead of you, it’s in your best interest to find strong, helping hands to handle the heavy lifting. When you rely on a professional moving service, you won’t have to stress about picking up boxes that weigh more than you do. Our Truck Moving LLC provides residential and commercial moving services, as well as labor services in Garland, TX, Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, and surrounding areas. Whether you need our moving services for a large residential move or just need extra labor help, you can rely on us for the job.”

Carpet cleaning

Cleaning your carpets is something that seems easy to do yourself until you look closer at what all goes into it. It isn’t as easy as just renting a machine (even if they market it as so) - you need a vacuum to pick up debris, a special carpet-cleaning machine, and enough soap for all of your carpets. But that’s not all! Make sure you set enough time aside to move all of your furniture to another area and then move it all back when your carpet is done drying… I don’t know about you, but my arms are tired just writing that. Save the time and energy and hire someone to do all of that for you. Hiring someone to clean your carpets is relatively inexpensive, so it is definitely something to consider! However, if you do it yourself, don’t forget to use the movers to help you move your furniture!

Popcorn ceilings

I would highly recommend hiring out for this one. There is a lot more than you would think that goes into removing popcorn ceilings, and the result is almost always a catastrophic mess in your house. Save yourself the trouble of the work and the mess by hiring someone to help you out with this task. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

Home exclusions

If you have wildlife in your home, you might want to consider hiring a company for a home exclusion. The reason you should hire someone instead of doing it yourself is because of the fact that if you do it yourself, there is a good chance you will do it wrong, and you will never get rid of the rats, squirrels, or other animals in your home or attic. You want to make sure this gets done the right way, the first time around because if you have wildlife in your walls and attic, they can cause massive amounts of damage to your house, including your piping and electrical wiring. This would not be good, especially if you were trying to fix the issues on your own. A lot of pest control companies offer a yearly warranty that you can purchase and add on to your package so that if anything happens in the future, not only will the company come back out and exclude your home again, but they will also repair any home damages for free (well, it’s included in what you pay for the yearly renewal warranty)

Tile work

I’m not sure about you, but one thing that I know I don’t have patience for is doing tile work around my home! I mean - the grout occasionally cracks, tiles chip, and it’s so hard to cut the tiles perfectly (especially if you are using small tiles in a shower). Your best bet? Hire it out, if you are not fully confident in your skills, so that you don’t have to worry about any of it!
