The Best Boba Spots in San Antonio

You can find me with boba in hand at least once a week. Even though I can make it at home, even though I don’t really need to go out there and buy boba- I will always find an excuse to get some. It might be because boba is comforting and reminds me of good memories with my best friend or because it’s an affordable fun treat. Either way, I’m glad to see that San Antonio has grown their selection of bubble tea spots.

I’ve gotten my order to be really specific so please consider that with my recommendations. I only order two flavors with specific toppings and occasional variations. The first order is Milk Tea with Boba and Egg Pudding (if they have it) at 50% sweetness. The second order is Mango Slush (smoothie) with Crystal Boba and Rainbow Jelly (If they have it). In my opinion, getting the same things makes it easier to compare to other locations.

Medical Center

Artea

When my dog and I wanna go somewhere but not really we head to Artea. I dunno it’s the perfect shop to get to while cruising the streets and they have the most delicious honey bacon glazed chicken bites that are worth getting alone. If that hasn’t convinced you, dunno what will.

The Crepe Addiction

I really like the milk tea here it’s so rich plus they have plenty of savory and sweet crepes to choose from. Not a fan of crepes? They have a great selection of street foods too!

5222 De Zavala Rd Ste 328

Suck It

Another one of the OG spots in San Antonio. They used to have over-the-top presentations of drinks but I’m not sure if they still do. Another restaurant duo; they carry ramen, sushi and other goodies. Definitely good food!

Hellabubble

They have tiny boba. Like mini boba! Plus, they have a great selection of predetermined drinks. That’s to say a set menu and it’s actually really cool and interesting to try them all.

Presotea Boba

Is this the second option for boba after books, yes! Am I here after REI, yes. Am I here period, also yes. Presotea has a great selection of boba, toppings, AND snacks.

Lustea

It’s in the name, but Lustea has a great selection of teas. I know I usually push the milk tea or the mango but here’s where I cheat and try something different.

Boba Tea Garden

Boba Tea Garden is slowly becoming one of my favorite spots in the city to hit up. Their milk tea is delicious. It’s creamy and has melted ice cream vibes. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s in a Vietnamese restaurant. Great selection of toppings and really good food. Vegetarian friendly.

8333 Culebra Rd #204A

Poke-Yi

Anyone here go to Ingram Park Mall? I mean if you’re ever in the area there’s a hidden poke shop with a great selection of boba.

6301 NW Loop 410 Ste E01

Bobalicious- og spot

The real ones know. You remember when it was an experience to get boba because this was the only spot in all of San Antonio. For me, it was my first experience with the drink, and look at me now.

Selma and Northeast San Antonio Boba Spots

T-Pioca

Far north east? I got you! T-Pioca is the spot for you! They’re a cute little shop tucked into a shopping center but the major perks are you’re near all the Asian grocery stores on the North East side for easy shopping. Shop first- treat yourself afters.

Bobatopia

Is this location far away? Yes, do you go to Ikea and crave boba afters, also yes. Here’s your back to SA road trip treat!

Multiple Locations

Zero Degrees- Multiple Locations

The only true fusion restaurant on this list is Zero Degrees. It’s scattered all around town but apart from getting over the top drinks, mangonadas and shakes- you’re also able to get food. Wings, fries, mac’n’cheese, and noodles are there for you to choose from and it’s definitely giving me sitting in the car watching a movie energy.

Tealicious- Multiple Locations

Honesty, if you’re looking for boba nearly anywhere on the far west side of San Antonio, you’ll find a Tealicious Cafe. Overall perks: they’re a larger boba house so you’ll find a wide selection of toppings which makes this a better place to take beginners.

Ginza Ramen- Multiple Locations

Finding boba at a restaurant is hit or miss. It can be a great finish to a meal but it also means limited toppings. At Ginza it means your only option is regular boba but hey! at least there’s a selection of ramen and other food.

Kokee Tea- Multiple Locations

Another mall brand which IMO mall boba tea > mall coffee is the way to go and with locations at North Star Mall and La Cantera then this should be a spot you go to when you’re shopping.

Kung Fu Tea- Multiple Locations

I think they’re up to 4 locations all around San Antonio and trust me they’re all solid across the board. They’re constantly remaking boba so they’re never out, too! Limited topping selection of toppings but drink selection is * chef’s kiss *
